My work is a visual journal. It's the by-product of real-life observations, experiences, and projections transformed into those revelations that lie beneath.
Carlos Arteaga is a Peruvian-American artist, born and raised in Queens, New York & currently working out of his Brooklyn studio. His current work abstracts forms from life through a variety of media, including pastel, charcoal, gouache, acrylics, and oils on paper, board, or canvas.
While at the Art Students League, he studied with Bruce Dorfman, Cornelia Foss & Mary Beth McKenzie.
